My work...

I spend a lot of time in nature for self care, and take inspiration from it. Plants and animals become supernatural subjects in my artwork with the power to heal, uplift, provide a sense of place, and even inspire action to protect the natural environment. I embrace symbolism in my work, often choosing to add elements outside of narratives that represent the zeitgeist of a painting. In all of my work, I want to provoke an enlightened and positive experience of nature as a life giving feminine force. Nature is the perfect muse for me because it exists perfectly, as is, with a divine logic, the likes of which can be seen in repetition of patterns in nature, explained mathematically through the fibonacci sequence.

 About me...

Annually I produce a new series of paintings, drawings and a selection of tiny works which I exhibit with galleries like Ladies Room in LA and Porch Gallery in Ojai, also from my studio in Inglewood, CA. I have an ongoing public art practice, with recent murals at LAX, and a permanent mural at the Olive View Restorative Care Village in Sylmar, CA. I currently teach Drawing & Painting II to Communications majors at Otis College, serve as President to the Inglewood Open Studios Board of Directors and dote on an adorable Wire Fox Terrier and my partner.
